Pathfinder hosts over 340 Ghosts & Ghouls for Halloween
EDMESTON, NY, November 1, 2022 … Pathfinder Village pulled out all the stops with its eighth annual Community Trick-or-Treat event on Saturday. Over 340 trick-or-treaters enjoyed a safe and spooky afternoon visiting Pathfinder’s livable campus.
As part of the fun, 11 of the Village’s residences decorated pumpkins for community guests to vote on. “Down on the Farm” by Butternut House was this year’s Best Overall entry and “Under the Sea” by Otsego House won the Judge’s Choice award.
“This is one of our ways to thank our local communities for their year-round support for our non-profit agency,” said Development Assistant Monica Clark, who helped organize the campus-wide event. “We love hosting families who enjoy exploring our beautiful community and visiting with our residents. The memories that are created at our Pathfinder events are cherished by families and strengthen our community.”
Another popular feature was the Haunted Hallway at the Village Commons, decorated by the Village’s Enrichment Department with the help of volunteers from NYCM Insurance. The hallway was staffed by the “Scare Squad,” which included members of the Village residents’ advocacy group, Council Rock, and college students representing the Center for Social Responsibility and Community from the State University of New York at Oneonta.
The Art Miller Family of Burlington Flats provided candy for the event, and the Pathfinder Bakery & Café offered coffee and hot cocoa to guests. Pictures of the afternoon are featured on the Village’s Facebook page at this link.
