Pathfinder to host Splash Path on Oct. 2
Edmeston, NY, September 2, 2021 … Sign up for colorful, affordable family fun at the Splash Path 5k and Fun Walk at Pathfinder Village on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Online registration is open for this vibrant paint run-and-walk that is raising funds for the Pathfinder Produce Mobile Market, which delivers fresh fruits and vegetables to area communities.
Pathfinder Village is a residential community and service provider for those with Down syndrome and other disabilities. Pathfinder Produce works with area agencies and healthcare partners to transport fresh fruits and vegetables to area families living in food deserts; the Mobile Market also creates meaningful, community-based vocational opportunities for adults with disabilities.
Participants may register online. All runners and walkers must sign waivers to take part; no bikes or pets are allowed on the course.

“Splash Path is an inclusive way for families to enjoy a fun fitness activity together. We welcome walkers and runners of all ages, abilities, and fitness levels,” said Splash Path Chair Monica Clark. “We’re grateful for the tremendous support we’ve received for our signature 5k, and we’re excited to offer an outdoor event that celebrates community.”
Registration fees are affordable so that families may enjoy this fun and fitness event: Children under 5 are free, Children (5-9) are $5; Youths (10-18) are $10; Adults are $20; the Family rate for 3 or more family members is $45. Registrants will receive a Splash Path tee shirt, goodie bag, and other donated items.
On the day of Splash Path, registration starts at 8:30 a.m. The run/walk begins at 10 a.m., with a color burst of non-toxic race colors. The run/walk proceeds east on NYS 80 to Robinson Road. Runners and walkers will turn-around, and return through the Pathfinder neighborhood. The run/walk ends at the Pathfinder Pavilion. For more information, please email
