Coordinator of Enrichment and Community Life

The Coordinator of Enrichment and Community Life supports each individual’s participation in recreation, leisure, and educational activities at Pathfinder Village as well as in the broader community to facilitate a healthy and productive lifestyle.

The Coordinator of Enrichment and Community Life will collaborate with residential, school, Otsego Academy, Camp Pathfinder, nursing, and adult day services to develop, organize, and lead creative and cultural enrichment programs in the areas of arts, music, theater, and other related disciplines. This role involves creating a dynamic, inclusive, and engaging environment for participants, fostering artistic expression and personal growth. The Enrichment Coordinator will design programs that cater to the interests and abilities of the individuals served, ensuring accessibility and diversity in the offerings. This position is ideal for someone passionate about the arts, with experience in program development, instruction, and community engagement.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma and 2 years’ equivalent experience

  • Valid NYS driver’s license (without restrictions)

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in art, music, theatre, arts education, or a related field

Hourly rate ranges from $20 to $22 an hour and is commensurate with experience.

Director of Education

Pathfinder Village seeks a dedicated administrator to lead our private school in providing a high-quality education to help students achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will bring innovative practices to our small school and will lead our faculty in assessment, instruction, and refinement of school wide goals, specifically achieving student outcomes and fostering a nurturing atmosphere for all students.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversight of daily operations at Pathfinder Village School, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment

  • Collaborate with faculty to develop and implement a specialty curriculum tailored to the needs of students with a variety of diagnoses

  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to maintain a sense of community

  • Mentor teachers, clinicians, and assistants in their professional development

  • Oversight of Otsego Academy, our post-secondary program for young adults

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of BA/BS in Education or related human service field

  • Certification as a school administrator or eligible to obtain

Vocational Classroom Instructor

The Vocational Classroom Instructor is responsible for supporting Otsego Academy students during their academic year. They will assist with planning, teaching, and providing individualized support to ensure students thrive in the Otsego Academy program. In the summer, the Vocational Classroom Instructor transitions to a camp leadership role and is responsible for participating in planned activities and creating camp experiences that foster growth, social connection, and skill building. They will work closely with the Post-Secondary Community Habilitation Coordinator and other Direct Support Professionals to ensure that academic and enrichment programming is aligned.

Qualifications

  • Required: Valid NYS driver's license with no restrictions
  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Associate's degree in human services or related field
  • Preferred: Experience working with individuals with OPWDD disabilities.

Technology Specialist

The Technology Specialist plays a vital role in advancing independence and improving quality of life for individuals supported by Pathfinder Village under the direction of the Director and Clinical Coordinator of Adult Services. This position is responsible for assessing individual technology needs, recommending and implementing appropriate assistive and adaptive technologies, and maintaining or troubleshooting technology in both residential and day service settings. The ideal candidate will also bring strategic and innovative thinking to help shape and expand the agency's technology programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Assistive Technology, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Information Technology, Rehabilitation Engineering, or a related field

  • minimum of 2 years of experience working with assistive technology and/or individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

  • Strong working knowledge of a wide range of assistive and adaptive technologies.

  • Experience with smart home technology, AAC devices, and remote monitoring systems.,

  • Valid New York State Drivers' License

Pay rate: $20.40 per hour

Assistant Ancillary Team Leader/Cook

The Assistant Ancillary Team Leader/Cook will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of food preparation in the Central Kitchen, housekeeping duties, and Cooper Transport services have been accomplished on a daily basis. Duties include:

  • Providing meals for school students and day staff
  • Providing management, supervision, assignments, guidance, and direction to staff within the dietary department in the absence of the Ancillary Team Leader.
  • Ensuring all regulations set forth by the NYS Health Department are continuously met
  • Assisting with inventory and supply ordering for housekeeping and dietary.
  • Management of on the job training of new staff, prevocational participants, and interns, including ongoing professional development and evaluations.
  • Overseeing meals, refreshments, services, and staffing for special events.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year's experience in food service, long term or acute care dietary is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Valid NYS Driver's license

Ancillary Support Staff

Ancillary Support Staff members are responsible for proving support in al areas of ancillary service: The Central Kitchen, the Bakery, Cooper Transport, and Housekeeping.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of food and supplies to residential houses
  • General cleaning and maintenance of dietary work areas
  • Assist with prep and presentation of baked goods to be sold in the bakery
  • Transport individuals to/from work areas and family meeting locations
  • Prove package delivery from KWC to recipient
  • Respond to environmental and cleaning needs and requests in the village
  • Maintain supply inventories of residential cleaning and personal items

Vocational Support Professional

This dynamic opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping individuals attain personal goals and achieve their dreams. Employment is one of life's biggest milestones. The role of the Vocational Services Professional (VSP) at Pathfinder Village is to deliver prevocational services to adults with I/DD who have expressed a desire to work and earn a paycheck. Vocational services not only provide individuals with opportunities to explore a variety of career paths and jobs, but also develop soft/hard skills that will prepare them for entering today's modern workforce. Working under the supervision of the Prevocational Site Supervisor, VSPs will have opportunities to work in a variety of setting both on and off campus, as well as network with our various community business partners.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid NYS driver's license

Culinary Instructor/Cook

The Culinary Instructor leads daily food preparation and culinary instruction at The Farmstead at Pathfinder Village. This hands-on position is responsible for preparing soups, salads, sandwiches, smoothies, and other market offerings while providing instruction, coaching, and practical skill development to employees and program participants. The Culinary Instructor creates a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment while maintaining high standards for food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Some duties include:

  • Teaching culinary skills through hands-on instruction and daily food preparation activities
  • Adapt teaching methods to support individuals with varying skill levels and learning styles
  • Develop and facilitate culinary classes, demonstrations, and training opportunities
  • Assist with meal planning and product development
  • Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management

Qualifications

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Required: 1 year culinary experience
  • Preferred: Experience with recipe development and food production

The hourly rate of pay is $20 and commensurate with experience.

Culinary Crew Member

Culinary Crew Members work collaboratively with the culinary team to prepare developed recipes, maintain cleanliness and food safety standards, and contribute to a positive and inclusive environment that reflects the mission and values of Pathfinder Community Collective. Some duties include:

  • Assisting with daily food production, packaging, labeling, and presentation of prepared foods.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing of food preparation areas, equipment, utensils, and workstations

Senior Program Specialist (Plan Writer)

The Senior Program Specialist plays an integral role within the Compliance Department to advocate and promote quality of life outcomes for individuals with intellectual disabilities, ensuring high-quality service delivery as well as monitoring regulatory compliance and promoting a positive, inclusive environment that reflects Pathfinder Village’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence. This position provides direct guidance and support to Program Specialist Plan Writers who translate life plans into actionable, person-centered goals that promote independence. The Senior Program Specialist will support the Plan Writers for all HCBS Waiver Services.

The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to root-cause analysis, the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced setting, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Valid NYS driver's license with no driving restrictions

  • Specialized training or at least one year of experience in treating or working with persons with developmental disabilities.

  • Must be a Qualified Individual Disability Professional (QIDP) as required by regulation, OR

  • Must hold permanent certification from NYSED in the field of education

Classroom Aide - Full Time and Per Diem

$2,000 Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time Classroom Aides **

Pathfinder School is seeking a full-time and a per diem classroom aide. The classroom aide provides direct instructional or residential support services to children individually and in small groups under the general supervision of the special education teacher during school hours, and to the house manager when working residentially. Classroom aides are a part of a team working to support children in their instructional and residential program. As such, they are expected to support and assist in the general operation of the classroom or house. The classroom aide supports students to become more independent in the areas of academics, communication, behavior management, pre-vocational training, and other areas of daily living skills.

  • Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm OR 7:30am to 3:30pm

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.

The hourly rate of pay starts at $16.75 an hour and is commensurate with experience.

Retail Team Leader - Farmstead Market and Pathfinder Bakery and Cafe

As a Retail Team Leader, you will be the heartbeat of the business - guiding, motivating, and supporting the team to deliver exceptional service every day. You'll set the tone for excellence, ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile and every team member feels empowered to shine. Your leadership will facilitate the daily operations of the business while championing the organization's mission to employ and train adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

Responsibilities include:

  • Cleanliness and safety

  • Overseeing daily store operations

Qualifications

  • A patient, compassionate, and adaptable communication style.

RN - Clinical Education Specialist

The Clinical Education Specialist is a Registered Nurse responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluation clinical and heal-related education for staff and individuals across Pathfinder Village programs. The role ensures high quality training in medical best practices, medical documentation, telehealth procedures, Plans of Nursing Services (PONS), medication administration, health and safety protocols, and durable medical equipment. Thee RN also provides clinical oversight and support to Pathfinder School, Camp Pathfinder, and Otsego Academy.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid NYS Driver's license with no restrictions
  • Education: Preferred: Bachelor's in nursing, required: Associate's in nursing
  • Preferred: 1 year experience working with people with intellectual disabilities
  • Experience in providing staff education is preferred
  • Current NYS RN license

The annual salary rate of pay starts at $80,000 and is commensurate with experience.

Direct Support Professional (DSP)

$2,500 Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time DSPs!**

Pathfinder Village presently has 12-hour shift openings for Direct Support Professionals. Primary responsibilities include providing direct care and residential guidance/supports for individuals living with intellectual and other disabilities within an open-access community setting. Additional duties involve advocating and supporting informed choices of individuals within the greater community. Strong record keeping skills, local travel, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing job training are required.

  • 3 - 4 day work week.
  • No prior work experience is required. 

Starting hourly rate ranges from $16.50 to $21.25 an hour, commensurate with experience. Overnight staff get an additional $3 an hour shift differential on top of their base rate when working an overnight shift.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

At Pathfinder Village, the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for conducting functional assessments and/or functional analysis (as needed), develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates behavior support plans for adults and children with disabilities. The BCBA will design supportive environments and conducts staff training to teach new skills and manage behaviors to maximize independence in activities of daily living.

The BCBA consults with parents, advocates, and Pathfinder staff on a variety of behavioral management issues and provides on-going behavioral intervention support in all settings. The BCBA provides staff training and behavior plan reviews to ensure proper implementation of these plans.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Master's degree in behavior analysis or similar

  • Certification in behavior analysis (BCBA) or in the process of obtaining certification

Annual salary: Starting at $65,000, commensurate with experience

Registered Nurse (RN)

As a Registered Nurse at Pathfinder Village, you will be joining a comprehensive team of RN’s, LPN’s, Clinical Office Assistants, and a Clinical Coordinator working in the rewarding field of developmental disabilities. At Pathfinder Village, we truly embrace “each life finding meaning”, and pride ourselves on offering both staff and residents opportunities that encourage camaraderie, new life experiences, and lasting friendships. You will work closely with our residents, their families, and clinical teams to assist and support them in making their healthcare decisions; provide staff support and education for assisting residents with their changing needs across their lifespan; and manage acute and routine healthcare needs. You will collaborate with the established relationships that we have with our local healthcare providers. In this position, you will provide telephone triage along with dedicated office and on-site hours coordinated by the Chief Clinical Officer. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Carry a caseload consistent with OPWDD guidelines and specific individual needs

  • Assist with attending appointments and communicating appointment results to residents, families, and staff

  • Facilitate and maintain ongoing staff trainings and education regarding healthcare needs of the resident

  • Work collaboratively with other department members to manage medications for residents

  • Provide hands on care consistent with a home healthcare model

  • Provide telephone triage services and on call rotation as assigned by the Director of Health Services

  • Maintain CEU’s of approximately 6-10 per year

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BSN) from an accredited four-year college or university, OR

  • An Associate's degree (ASN) from an accredited two-year private vocational school or community college with related experience

Required Certifications:

  • NYS Registered Professional Nurse License

  • Valid NYS driver's license

  • Current certification in CPR

Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Chenango House

$3,000 Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time Chenango DSPs **

Pathfinder Village is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support and care to aging individuals with medical needs, helping them achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, administering medications, and promoting community involvement. Comprehensive training provided. The ideal candidate would have experience working with elderly individuals and a background in medical care is preferred.

Scheduled Overtime: This position includes a rotating schedule with one week of 36 hours (three 12-hour shifts) and the following week of 48 hours (four 12-hour shifts). Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a week.

Sign-On Bonus: $3,000 paid over time
