Tennis Classic
The 17th annual Pathfinder Village Tennis Classic is set to take place at the scenic Cooperstown Country Club on Monday, September 14, 2026. This one-of-a-kind event was founded in 2010 as a sister event to the Pathfinder Village-Baseball Hall of Fame Golf Invitational. The tournament is an outstanding athletic and social event that offers excellent sponsorship and networking opportunities for all those who support Pathfinder Village scholarships. The Tennis Classic features round-robin, doubles- and mixed-doubles matches for up to 32 players (two flights) at the Club’s four Har-Tru courts. Players will enjoy watching tournament play while enjoying the hospitality of the Cooperstown Country Club; players and sponsors are invited to attend a reception and banquet at The Otesaga Resort Hotel that evening.
The Tennis Classic has raised nearly $300,000 in support of the Pathfinder Village Foundation’s Scholarship Endowment, which assists Village residents and students with tuition and fees and allows them to continue their paths of growth and independence at Pathfinder's world-renowned community.
Each year, the Tennis Classic attracts participants from far and wide and is considered the region’s preeminent charitable tennis tournament. With the involvement of many community-minded businesses and donors, the tournament is organized by a volunteer committee chaired by Bob and Patricia Hanft of Cooperstown, NY.
The CCC follows white tennis attire rules that include white clothing with minimal trim, collared shirts for men, and white clay-court sneakers.
